What good travel insurance can do for you
This month we have had some great feedback from our customers who have shown us that travel insurance for people with pre-existing medical conditions really can make dreams come true. Not just because of the excellent protection and cover on offer, or because of our brilliant staff who talk to customers professionally and discretely – though both those reasons are really important. No, the most important reason for these customers is that we enable them to go on holiday, because we are so much cheaper than our nearest rivals, sometimes hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds cheaper.
We at World First made the difference between them being able to afford their holiday or not. Wow, I have to say that feels really good!
But, you don’t have to believe me – just read what some of them have to say…
James Jordan
“I wanted to go the United States to see my daughter, but I am 77 and have angina and high cholesterol and was recently treated for skin cancer. It is perhaps not surprising that I was having great difficulty in finding travel insurance cover.  I applied to more than 80 insurers and drew and almost complete blank. Only two offered cover but they wanted premiums of £1,500 and £2,500 for the three-week trip! Only World First which could offer me the cover I needed, and at just £275, a price I could afford.”
Brenda Edwards
“I was struggling to find travel insurance for my trip to the States to spend Christmas with my daughter. Like a lot of people my age I have an existing medical condition – angina – one company quoted almost £1500 for 19 days, I simply couldn’t afford that.”
“So, I googled “angina” and “travel insurance”. World First Travel Insurance came up so I gave them a call. They couldn’t have been more helpful. I spoke to just one person and together we went through a simple medical screening process. They offered me a policy for £260.98 that included cover for angina – I was absolutely delighted.â€
Louise Jones and her daughter Katy
“My ten year-old daughter Katy was diagnosed with a brain tumour a year ago. Thankfully, the tumour has been removed and the hospital she was treated at has declared her fit to travel and at no more risk of suffering a medical complaint than the rest us. But this didn’t seem to make much difference to the numerous travel insurance companies I contacted to purchase a policy for our Christmas holiday in Canada. I was beginning to think that family holidays would be a thing of the past. Thankfully, I came across World First Travel Insurance. Their medical screening process was sensible and straightforward and they offered us a policy for £113.54 for 20 days a massive £2000 less than my other quote!â€
