Fancy getting your hands on a Kindle? Impress the judges in our easy-to-enter travel writing competition and you can. Better fetch the thesaurus...
Our travel writing competition is called My World First. It runs from month to month and it’s your chance to wax lyrical about a memorable travel experience. The rules are simple. Your travel tale can be on any topic you wish. All we ask is that it formed some kind of ‘world first’ for you. Whether it was the first time you flew in a plane, or the first time you saw a monkey stealing a mango from a market stall is up to you. So what will it be?
We’ve received some amazingly diverse entries since we launched the competition back in November. Stories have ranged from camel-kissing to circling the peak of Everest in a light aircraft. The winning entry and one runner-up are published here on our blog each month. And we’re planning something special to display all of the entries we receive in the near future. The March competition closes at 11:59pm on Saturday 31st March. Good luck!
