The World First website was honoured to be made a finalist in the Travolution awards for best travel insurance website. The Awards celebrate the achievements of the industry and recognise innovation and outstanding strategy. They are judged by an independent panel of experts and a committee of senior people from the online travel industry who review the entries and select a winner for each category.

We were excited to be nominated and over the moon when we became a finalist. We we’re up against some pretty stiff competition including leading brand names like Insure & Go and Quote Bannana – the online comparison website for AA travel Insurance. World First travel insurance is of course well established (we have been since 1973) in the travel insurance market,  but as a specialist provider we are

perhaps not so well known and we certainly don’t advertise on TV like the others finalists.

The eventual winner was Essential Travel Insurance who were the judges found performed extremely well across key tasks such as functionality, clarity of products, and – most importantly – credibility of the services on offer. Congratulations guys but watch your back in 2010 because we arte hot on your heels!!

We are keen to make our website as easy to use as possible and we strive to offer the best range of travel insurance products. We’re working on so many different projects that there is just too much to list in one blog post. But the key areas for the next few months will be the removal of age restrictions on our travel insurance policies, the launch on online medical screening, introduction of new policies and reduction of policy excesses.
